Orovo review – Will the 10 Super foods help you lose weight?

orovo imageJam packed full of weight loss Natural Goodness. That’s what Orovo would like us to believe at least from their sales pitch. I felt compelled to write this Orovo review after reading similar articles on the web that are far out numbered by the hyped reviews and comparison sites that rank Orovo near the top almost every time.

Orovo, like Lipovox and Leptovox, are proprietary blends of “10 super foods” that were presented on the Oprah show by Dr. Perricone. The ingredients that ended up on Orovo are: DMAE, Acai, Buckwheat, Flaxseed, Garlic, Wheat-grass, Alfalfa Sprout, Cayenne, Barley, Soy, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Idebenone, and Lactobacillus.

Before I get into the down side of Orovo I want to state that each of these ingredients does have great potential to improve our over all health, and possibly help us lose weight along with proper diet and exercise.

How ever I find it hard to believe that the makers of Orovo can jam pack enough of these super ingredients into one capsule to make us lose weight, hide wrinkles and look younger. That’s a very tall order for just a supplement.

The Story Behind Orovo

As the story goes the wife of Orovo’s CEO was watching Oprah the day the story on the 10 super foods aired. These 10 foods showed great potential to keep us healthy, help us lose weight, and reverse signs of aging.

Supposedly they tried eating servings of each of these foods every day for ten consecutive days. Long and behold they saw a drastic improvement in their waist line and appearance. Of course it was tough to prepare and continue to eat these ten foods each day, and they assumed that the average Joe or Jane wouldn’t want to go through all the trouble. There was born the Orovo supplement.

The Ingredients behind Orovo

The ingredients listed in Orovo are divided up into an Antioxidant blend and Super-foods blend. There’s no arguing that the antioxidants blend containing: Green tea extract, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and DMAE offers great benefits to fight free radicals, which can in turn aid with weight loss and signs of aging such as wrinkles.

How ever the proprietary blend of Super foods doesn’t list the quantity of each per capsule which has to make you wonder exactly what you’re getting for the money. The blend as a whole is 350 mg per capsule and it contains those items listed above in the second paragraph.

Why has Orovo become so Popular?

Before I realized this I figured Orovo was just a really healthy supplement, how ever after researching I discovered that Orovo is marketed via an MLM (multi level marketing) system. In any marketing system such as this members have an interest in

a.) Selling the product
b.) getting more people under them that get more people under them that …you get the point

This style of marketing can sometimes push a below average product far beyond where it should ever reach on it’s own. I believe that the comparison and review sites that rate Orovo at the top of their list are likely part of their MLM plan.

Should you buy Orovo?

I would suggest you save your money on Orovo and look into another weight loss pill. While the content of each capsule of Orovo are healthy there is limited if any studies to show that the raw form of each ingredient can aid in weight loss let alone the concentrated amount in each capsule.

Look for a weight loss pill that is a proven fat blocker/binger, appetite suppressant, or carb blocker. Any of these will prove to be more helpful in losing weight then Orovo, of course this is just my opinion.
