Phenocerin Review - Detailed look at this Herbal Diet Pill
Phenocerin is a weight loss pill manufactured and marketed by Nutritional Science Labs. They “guarantee to help you lose weight in 30 day”. Not a really big claim, since changing your diet or exercising on it’s own can more or less guarantee you to lose weight in a month, but lets take a closer look at Phenocerin to see what else it has to offer.

How does Phenocerin Work?
Phenocerin isn’t offering anything new to the world of diet pills, they’ve created their own unique formulation of several herbal and natural ingredients including: Caffeine, Hoodia Gordonii, and Chromium Picolinate.
Hoodia of course is included to suppress the appetite. There’s been a lot of talk about how effective Hoodia Gordonii is, and how many diet pills actually contain pure Hoodia. Phenocerin states they are using pure Hoodia, and if this is the case then their supplement probably does a half decent job of suppressing your appetite.
Caffeine is something that’s popping up in a lot of diet pills as well. It’s included to increase your metabolism and is used as a stimulant. On the official Phenocerin website it states there is as much caffeine in one capsule of Phenocerin as their is in your morning coffee. I don’t believe this small amount of caffeine is going to make a huge difference with the amount of weight you lose, but none the less it can have positive effects.
Chromium Picolinate, to which Phenocerin states they contain more then Hydroxycut (a top selling fat burning pill), is an important nutrient to help your body process insulin. By improving the efficiency with which your body handles insulin there are less fat deposits. This increases the quantity of amino acids and glucose that can get to your muscles.
What’s the benefit of having Chromium Picolinate as an ingredient for weight loss? The benefit is supposedly aiding cells to take in glucose, produce more energy and boost your metabolism, how ever there are no medical journals to support these claims.
Phenocerin Side Effects
On their official website there are no Side effects to note, although a bit of digging has revealed that taking pure Chromium Picolinate supplements (not just as a diet pill ingredient) can have some negative effects on cells, this isn’t to suggest that Phenocerin is dangerous, it’s just good to have as much knowledge about ingredients as possible.
Hoodia Gordonii hasn’t been found to have any negative effects, you should ensure that when taking any appetite suppressant you are still getting your minimum daily calorie requirement.
Verdict on Phenocerin
I believe that taking Phenocerin would have positive effects on your weight loss, the exact amounts I cannot say since herbal and natural products produce different results for different people. In saying that, the price point for each bottle of Phenocerin is a bit steep.
They do offer a “VIP” auto ship program where you receive a discount on each bottle, and you purchase a three months supply at a time ($99.00 for 3 bottles in stead of the regular $59.00). If you’re going to try Phenocerin I suggest you request their free trial, and commit to using it for at least 3 months.
This way you’ll use all of the capsules you get, and you can cancel your enrolment in their VIP program at that point if you’re not satisfied with the results.
